What Shamiana is

Shamiana is a marketplace. We help customers find event halls in Karachi and send booking requests, and we help hall owners list venues and manage their calendars. The booking itself is an agreement between the customer and the hall; Shamiana is not a party to it and does not run the venues.

Accounts

• You must give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You choose to be a customer or a hall owner when you sign up.
• You can delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Booking requests

• A booking request is not a confirmed booking. The hall may accept it or let it lapse; requests expire after 24 hours.
• Prices shown are estimates from the hall's published rates for your guest count, sitting and chosen options. The final price, token amount and payment terms are agreed with the hall.
• Payments are made directly to the hall, not through Shamiana.
• Cancellations and refunds are between you and the hall.

Hall owners

• You must be entitled to list the venue, and your listing — prices, capacity, inclusions, availability, location — must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You must own or have permission to use every photo and video you upload, and you allow us to display them in Shamiana.
• Your phone number is shown on your listing so customers can contact the hall.
• Respond to requests honestly and honour the bookings you accept.

What you must not do

• Post false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, or content you have no rights to.
• Make fake requests or listings, or use Shamiana to harass anyone.
• Interfere with the service, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

Shamiana is provided as is. We work to keep listings and availability accurate, but the information comes from hall owners and we cannot guarantee it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for disputes between customers and halls, or for losses arising from an event or a booking.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use Shamiana means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
